Tracy's inky fingers

Welcome to our mid month post where the current challenge for the Design Team is to 'try something new' and this month it's Tracy turn to share, so I will hand you over to her:

"It's my turn to do the mid month inspirational post were we need to 'try something new'. So I have tried two different techniques. I normally shy away from inky projects, they do scare me! I think I'm what they call a clean crafter, so I got some inky fingers and watched a few tutorials and came up with this card and gift bag".

So I used Distress Inks to make my background, after I had stamped my images I coloured them in with a black pen to make them into silhouettes.

I made a background paper by stamping fairy dust and adding sparkle.  I don't have a grass stamp so I drew it in.  I surprised myself with the result.

I used a different technique for this gift bag, I put my Distress inks onto an acrylic block and sprayed it to give a water colour look.  Then I embossed a dandelion and brought it to life with distress inks and Glamour dust, then stamped the smaller dandelion.  To finish off  I made a backgound paper.

There's probably room for improvement, but I enjoyed doing it even if I got very inky LOL!!

Many thanks Tracy, I am sure you will inspire other "clean crafters" to get inky.

October - Autumn Glory

A very good morning to you all and welcome to our October challenge and at this beautiful time of year there could only be one theme..............

********Autumn Glory********

So as the title suggest we would love to see all things Autumn, be it trees and flowers, Autumnal scenes or you may wish to use a favourite stamp and use all those lovely rich colours that we associate with this time of year.

Please can I remind you we are a stamping challenge so must see a stamped image, sentiment or quote as the focal element of your artwork. You can enter up to three creations but please note: If we do not comment on your entry it will be because it does not follow the theme, qualify under our rules, or because we are asked to sign in or provide additional data to comment on third party hosts particularly Instagram, Facebook, Splitcoast etc. We do not want to be rude but we do want to be fair to those who do follow the rules.

Stamp Addicts is a family run business based in Bedfordshire and have been in business since 1992. We have watched the popularity of rubber stamping and all papercrafts steadily increase over time and now manufacture our own branded rubber stamps which frequently feature on Hochanda TV as well as exhibiting at craft shows across the UK. Our lucky winner will receive a £25 store voucher.

We have two Guest Designers this month who have totally different style to inspire you, first up is Avril with this lovely Autumnal creation......................

And second is Lorraine with this adorable Autumnal Fairy..........

The Design Team have again pulled out all the stops and have some awesome Autumnal creations to share, thank you as always girls..........
